I modeled this "Micronaut" as a personal project to ring in the turn of the century and because I wanted to revamp one of my favorite toys from my childhood.
Micronauts inspired me as a boy of seven and still continue to do so today. I owe some of my desire to model and sculpt to MEGO toy company who introduced Micronauts to America from Japan.
I created the model of the "Man" with poly smooth (NURMS) in 3D Studio Max 3.0 and Boolean modeled his "robotic" cavities.
